(Podcast now available) Tim McCarthy, Orland Park Police Chief and Chairman of the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, talks about the continuing investigation into the maurders of five women at the Lane Bryant clothing store in Tinley Park on Feb. 2, 2008 and the difficulties of capturing the killer. McCarthy discussed how the Task Force is working closely with the Tinley Park police to investigate a continuing stream of new tips and leads, but no suspect has been identified. He predicted this case may not be sovled immediately or in the near future, but he said the Task Force, which has more than 70 investigators from dozens of surrounding South Suburban communities will assign 30 to continue the investigation until the killer is caught.
